They have not earned a spot yet, but Ohio University is doing a lot to try and get there — easier said than done in a region of the country that is behind the curve in going green. I blogged about what the school is doing here http://blog.stalkmarketproducts.com/2008/10/12/ohio-university-goes-green-with-stalkmarket.aspx

With over 40,000 students, and close to 150,000 fans on hand for football game days, Penn State does an excellent job keeping the campus as green as possible. The University always makes a big pitch for the importance of recycling (particularly the campus’ ubiquitous student newspaper), and a lot of praise should go to the work done by the PSU Center for Sustainability.
And speaking of green transpo, one of the campus’ CATA buses is powered by hydrogen…

How’d you decide who was greenest? What’s your source, or criteria? Here’s a little post we did on CU: http://www.elephantjournal.com/2008/10/cu-ranked-second-greenest-campus/
